- Considering the evidences of the work done, the supervisor must be ready to recommend the student as an appropriate PhD candidate;

- The quality of the work should be visible from the report, which should be graded at least 9, too;
- Considering research/design skills, the student is appropriate for a PhD candidate;

- Considering research/design skills and work done, the student is eligible as a future PhD candidate;

- The work done by the student should be on a comparable level with projects in the industry so that it is considered as a sufficient experience for a direct successful eventual employability in the field, involving analysis and design of related to the project products;

- The work of the student should be at a minimum level for a possible portfolio material for a job interview in the field;
- The work shows awareness of the fundamental concepts of the scientific method (e.g. problem, question, hypothesis, prediction, testing, experimenting, analysis, replication, external review, documentation, sharing, etc.) or the applicable design flow, applied to the own specific research/design field.
