Execution: Level of independence

  • The student shows an exceptional level of independence, style, responsibility and professionalism that are inspiring for others;
  • The utilization of the project results and the dissemination of knowledge in the project are mainly thanks to the student;
  • The student should have been inspirationally pro-active in achieving the research results, working alone and in a team.
  • Minimum active involvement from the supervisors;
  • Supervisors have learned a lot from the project and have advanced their research agendas;
  • The student has independently steered and managed the project at a SOTA level;
  • The student is capable of planning, managing and executing all activities needed for the project (delegating activities is allowed but the student still accepts the final responsibility);
  • The student actively looks for criticism in order to improve, learn and evolve;
  • The student has assisted other TU/e Master students (final project or internship level) or BEP students.

  • The student achieves very good results with a high level of independence;
  • The novelties in the project are mainly possible thanks to the student;
  • The student has been pro-active and the major decision-maker (at lease two key decisions in the projects should be quoted);
  • The student independently connects own findings to other fields;
  • The student shows a high level of confidence, activity, responsibility and professionalism;
  • Reduced active involvement from the supervisors;
  • Supervisors have learned from the project;
  • The student has independently steered and managed the project (e.g. what aspects to be emphasized, how to deal with deadlines, etc.);
  • The student is not afraid of criticism and uses it for improvement and learning;
  • The student is capable of planning, managing and executing all activities needed for the project (delegating activities is allowed but the student still accepts the final responsibility).

  • The student efficiently achieves good results provided minor guidance of the supervisors;
  • The project successful completion is mainly thanks to the student;
  • The student takes full care of the organization of the project: time schedule, meetings planning, contacts with experts, approaching deadlines;
  • The student invests a lot of care in the planning of the technical and scientific part of the project, via e.g. proposals of research activities, methods, tools, own original analysis, etc.
  • The student has actively participated in taking key decisions in the project;
  • The student independently connects own findings to other fields;
  • The guidelines given to the student are well understood and executed in an independent way;
  • The student has shown commitment, responsibility and professionalism in the daily business of the project;
  • The active involvement of the supervisors is not excessive;
  • The student is able to handle criticism in a positive way;
  • The student is capable of basic planning, managing and executing all activities needed for the project (delegating activities is allowed but the student still accepts the final responsibility).

  • The student effectively achieves acceptable results provided normal guidance from the supervisors;
  • The project results are mainly thanks to the mutual work of student and supervisor;
  • The student has been always prepared for the meetings (e.g. reports of work done, summary of encountered problems, action-plan);
  • The student handles criticism (usually) in a defensive way;
  • The student knows what the routine problems are and how/when/who to ask for guidance, tips, and lessons in order to keep up with the progress of the project;

  • The student successfully achieves sufficient results provided precise guidance from the supervisors;
  • Some of the project results are thanks to the student or the cooperation student-supervisor;
  • The student understands what the routine problems are, provided precise instructions from the supervisors;
  • The student understands criticism;
  • The project progress depends on the active involvement of the supervisors;
