Specialization: Disciplinary knowledge

  • The student has fully mastered generic methods and techniques used in other domains outside the scope of the project;
  • The student adapted such techniques and knowledge and used it in the project;
  • The student knows trends and conveys his/her approach in a visionary and convincing way, for a broad audience.

  • The student has a clear helicopter view on different relevant factors and disciplines for the project and in the broader field;
  • The student is capable of putting the project into a broader societal and/or multidisciplinary context;
  • The student is clearly up-to-date with the State-of-the-art (SOTA) / State-of-practice (SOP) in multiple specializations.

  • The student shows a good understanding of the EE fundamental disciplinary knowledge, principles, methods, and technical skills and tools relevant for the project and the EE discipline;
  • The student has acquired the needed skills to successfully execute a similar project for a different application in an independent manner;
  • The student can clearly distinguish between different factors of relevance in the project and in the field, and is able to argue what is optimal for the given project;
  • The student is capable of correct abstractions;
  • The student is capable of putting design decisions and reported results in perspective;
  • The validation of the work (theoretical analysis, simulations, experiments) is sound (e.g., reported results are rounded to their relevant and reliable significant digits, assumptions and boundary conditions are made explicit, theoretical analysis is traceable and correct);

  • The student shows a general understanding of the EE fundamental disciplinary knowledge, principles, methods, and technical skills and tools needed for the project;
  • The student will be able to independently execute a similar project for a different application.

  • The student has the minimal disciplinary knowledge needed for the successful completion of the graduation project;
  • The student is able to contribute to any application within the discipline of the graduation project.
